Two striking things about this: the highly stylized modern cauldron sculpture on a classical building, and the amazing way it was lit - from a single shot from an archer's flaming arrow, from the stadium below.

This is my favorite..It was supposed to represent a ship’s rudder as a reference to the maritime nature of Barcelona and it’s proximity to the Mediterranean. A great solution merging the classical form of the stadium with a clean modern torch cauldron!…the torch on the other hand is another story..overly designed!
