Got here from Neatorama… The Disney World tunnels were actually the first things I thought of when I read the article name, but didn’t expect to see them featured!
They’re not truly subterranean, perse… Here in Florida, you can’t dig into the limestone base of the state or you’ll run into the aquifer. The tunnels are actually nearly ground level and the park itself is built up. Still, very cool.
