   back in the day if you had a conion c-100f you ruled the streets.l had one and like a dummy l sold it.
   now l wish i had it back.lt stand taller than a coffee table but those 12 d batt. killed my pockets because
   jam mine everyday.

   This is a STOLEN picture! This was MY Clairtone 7980 that i offered for auction a few months ago and you did not request my PERMISSION to use my picture! Remove this picture immediately or charges will be laid against this website!!

    I have one that I got recently, and the only thing wrong with it is that the bottom cassette door is missing. It has normal wear on it, and a few minor scratches on the chrome, but it works fine. I can’t sell it for less than $400 though.

    just going to buy one with exactly the same look and size tomorrow its identical with conion and clairtone the only difference is the nameplate, the name is (mike) its like new and the price is just 100 bucks:p can anyone tell me if its a copy or the manufactur just sold it under another name in different conutryes. I live in scandinavia.

    I have seen this box with the name.. Helix, conion, clairtone but never mike. nevermind its cool anyway

    I have one of these in fair aesthetic condition (bit scratched up but entact) however the internals are cactus.

    RE:what is the difference between the Conion C-100F and the C-100FF?
    The C-100F was the first version and was 120 Volts AC only.
    The C-100FF was the second version and had switchable 120V/240V AC Selector.
    I had both. Sold them for crazy money on Ebay, hard to believe, but when I bought these back in the day, they were, like, $200 new and sold in flea markets and questionable NYC electronics stores.
    These were LOUD but not quality.
    The tape decks were a joke, especially the playback only one. Designed to break with normal use.
    Sloppy electronics assembly and too much wiring inside with too many connection points.
    And a battery hog. 10 D batteries, my goodness.
    But they were fun and I guess that’s what’s it’s all about!

    Yes….this was my favorite toy back then. That burglar alarm killed your batteries. I wish there was a way to hook up a strap to carry it because it killed your arms carrying it.
