New Milk Floats
This page shows some of the latest milk float designs.
This futuristic-looking float is the Bluebird XDV. It was designed specifically for Express Dairies, who have placed it into service on a trial with Parcelforce delivering parcels in Northampton. Thanks to Peter Rowlands for sending the picture (an official one for press release) and to Martin Rees, chairman of Bluebird Automotive, for confirming the identity of the float.
For more information, contact Bluebird Automotive.
This is the Gem (Global Electric Motorcars) incorporated in DamilerChrysler Mk1 Milkfloat presently being used by Harrisons Dairies, Belmont Road Liverpool. It delivers daily to 432 houses, travelling around 25 to 30 miles per day and returns still half charged.
